GOT IT

I got “it”, I got it all figured out….
The jeans fit,
that little black dress is slipping on with ease
the scale says the magic number,
What now?
All that mental energy was well worth the time and effort.

Then something happens, one step off a curb, CRACK, leg is broken, OH NO! Now what??

“Why does this have to happen to me?”
“What is it about me, that I just can’t get it?”

Long term healthy lifestyle living takes some PAINFUL PRACTICE until it becomes PAINFUL NOT to do it.

So therein lies the problem, the PAIN that is involved in change.

It takes a bit of PAIN to change anything whether it is GOOD PAIN or BAD PAIN, it takes pain.

It takes work and energy, which can be PAINFUL.

Consistency without expectation of a perceived outcome, can be painful and scary.

Consistency can take energy and extra pain to get the habit to stick.

And when you have a storm that throws you off track you have to take your energy to redirect back to healthy habits you just created.
When a person “gets it” they realize that it is “getting them”, they realize that “it” is all about doing “them”, day in, day out… no end date.

Pain or no pain they do it, because it is who they are; Habitually day in and out.

If you get “you”, you know one salad and one kick ass workout, is not a solution for days, months, years’ worth of cake, burgers, drinks and excess galore.
You know it can take time to readjust and revamp and reshape your routine.

You know you don’t need to look for permission or blame for your current state, you know it is all on you.

What does it mean to “get it”?

“It” is about what you need to do, or not do, or take responsibility for…

“GETTING IT” is “GETTING YOU”.

As a female entrepreneur and fitness professional, I have traveled a varied journey through this crazy world of fitness. I started my own journey as a young 12 year old seeking to find the perfect acceptable body. My own personal plan, started the fire, of self-accomplishment and empowerment, however it took a lot of twists and turns in my life journey, taking me from my 12 year old self to a woman in her 20’s diagnosed with fibromyalgia and hypothyroidism; to begin the process of finding my true purpose of today. It took those health issues to help me find my way back to rewrite my story.
